President of the Coordination Body for Harmonization and Monitoring of Inspection Supervision and Minister without Portfolio Milutin Butorović announced on "Colors of Morning" on the TV program Vijesti a more decisive and organized state response ahead of the upcoming tourist season, large festivals on the coast and the celebration of May 21st throughout Montenegro.

According to him, around 110 inspectors will be deployed in five shifts, and special attention will be focused on Budva and Ulcinj, as the busiest tourist centers, but also on the north of the country, primarily Žabljak and Kolašin, from where activities will be coordinated towards other municipalities.

"Mobile teams allow us to react quickly wherever a problem arises. We have already had several actions on the coast and in the north. We will carry out some of the actions with the assistance of the police, especially where there is an assessment of the security risk for inspectors," he said.

Butorović emphasized that the inspectors have his full political protection and that there will be no tolerance for pressure or attempts at influence.

He singled out the gray economy, illegal private accommodation, failure to issue fiscal invoices, undeclared work, and food safety control during large public events as key challenges this season.

"There is no excuse for not issuing fiscal invoices. This is a serious violation and the sanctions will be the strictest. The same applies to illegal accommodation. Inspectors now have the ability to enter facilities with a court order and I believe we will achieve much better results than in previous years," said Butorović.
