Several candidacies were received from various areas of the civil and social sectors for the election of the four missing members of the RTCG Council.
At the suggestion of non-governmental organizations in the field of media, Olivera Nikolić, director of the Media Institute, was nominated, while Vladan Mićunović, a long-time journalist and former director of TVCG, was proposed as a candidate by NGOs working in the field of human rights protection, TV Vijesti has learned.
Radenko Lacmanović was also nominated for a Council member, at the proposal of the Paralympic Committee, and the proposal was supported by the Montenegrin Olympic Committee. The candidate was also proposed by the Chamber of Commerce, but his name has not been announced yet.
In March, the President of the Assembly, Andrija Mandić, issued a public call for the election of one member of the Council of the Agency for Audiovisual Media Services and four members of the Council of RTCG.
In the next phase of the procedure, the Parliamentary Administrative Committee should verify whether the candidates meet the requirements prescribed by law, after which the final list of candidates for decision-making in the Parliament of Montenegro will be determined.
