It is absurd that someone who does not recognize their own state is the head of its parliament, and then, two decades after the restoration of independence, announces that they will attend a reception to mark the anniversary for the first time.
This is how the European Union is commenting on the announcement by the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandić, that he will attend tonight's reception organized by Prime Minister Milojko Spajić on the occasion of May 21st.
Damir Šehović from the European Union said in the show Boje jutra on Vijesti Television that it is nice that Mandić, who has not congratulated citizens on Independence Day in previous years, has now said so, but that it would be nicer if he showed it in practice.
Šehović also confirmed that they plan to expand the alliance, that is, to complete a platform by the end of July that should unite the "pro-Montenegrin civic bloc" without the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and, in addition to political parties, bring together some individuals outside the parties.
The European Alliance consists of the Social Democrats (SD), the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the Liberal Party (LP), and Šehović said that talks are underway and revealed that they are also counting on Nikola Janović, who left the DPS, as well as some others.
