The death of two teenagers in Nikšić has reopened the issue of safety on Montenegrin roads.
In the last three days alone, five people have died in traffic accidents, while since the beginning of June, several hundred drivers have been sanctioned for alcohol, drugs and speeding.
How safe are Montenegrin roads at the beginning of the tourist season, are increased controls yielding results, and is that enough or should the authorities consider draconian penalties?
