A Podgorica resident was sentenced to five years in prison for breaking into a snack vending machine and stealing products worth 235 euros.
At the same time, certain high-ranking officials received significantly lighter sentences for abuse of office.
Lawyer Veselin Radulović warns that such cases open up the old issue of uniformity of penal policy in Montenegro.
While the admission of guilt in some cases of high-ranking officials resulted in lighter sentences, this Podgorica resident did not help either.
