TV Vijesti: Third Government Reshuffle by the End of July

The third reconstruction of Milojko Spajić's government, which should be made official on July 23, will relate to the reshuffle within the current majority, that is, filling the positions that were vacant after the DNP left, as well as the position that belongs to the Socialist People's Party according to the coalition agreement.

The new members of the Government include officials from New Serbian Democracy, MP Jovan Vučurović, and Radoš Zečević, the current director of the city company Putevi.

Vučurović is expected to replace Milutin Buturović, a member of the Europe Now Movement (PES), as Minister without Portfolio for Relations with the Parliament, while Zečević will take a leading position in the Ministry of Transport.

The Ministry of Transport is currently headed by Filip Radulović, who succeeded DNP Minister Maja Vukićević, who resigned after disagreeing with the Government's decisions, particularly regarding the issues of the Serbian language, the Law on Citizenship, and the status of the tricolor. With the entry of Vučurović and Zečević into the Government, the NSD will have a total of four ministers and one Deputy Prime Minister.

According to the announcements, the former President of the Capital City Assembly, Jelena Borovinić Bojović, will also join the reconstructed Government. She is a candidate for the new vice-presidential position - for health, like the one that existed before the first reconstruction in the summer of 2024 - vice-president for labor, education, health and social policy, which was led by Srđan Pavićević from CIVIS, a group that was on the list with PES in the elections.

The reconstruction also includes the election of a new Minister of Sports and Youth, who until the end of last year was held by former long-time SNP official Dragoslav Šćekić. He left the SNP after a long disagreement with the party president Vladimir Joković. In early February, the SNP main board nominated Zoran Jojić as the Minister of Sports instead of Šćekić. As Televizija Vijesti has learned, the Government is considering the possibility of separating this ministry, in which case the SNP would have the sports department and the PES would have the youth department.

The government of Milojko Spajić was formed at the end of October 2023, and initially consisted of PES, Democrats, SNP, Albanian Forum, Albanian Alliance and CIVIS. The first reconstruction was in the summer of the following year, when the Bosniak Party, NSD and DNP joined it. The government then had 32 members, with six new ministries and two more deputy prime ministers.

The same number was retained in April 2025 after a new reorganization, when PES's Majda Adžović became Minister of Public Works, and Admir Šahmanović from the Bosniak Party, head of the newly formed Ministry of Energy and Mining, after the merger of the Ministries of Energy and Mining, and Oil and Gas.

The former Ministry of Energy lost its first man in December 2024, when Saša Mujović became the mayor of Podgorica. The parliament is expected to discuss the new composition of Prime Minister Milojko Spajić's cabinet before the summer break.
