More than 70 fast food establishments are operating in Budva this summer, and inspections have shown that in some cases measures were needed to ensure food safety. The problems most often relate to inadequate infrastructure conditions of the establishments, small kitchen spaces and the inability to fully implement the prescribed hygiene standards.
Guesting on Boje jutra on Vijesti Television, food inspector Saša Đurović said that a large number of fast food establishments on the Budva promenade do not fully meet the infrastructure requirements necessary for quality work.
"What I would use in this show is to appeal to Morsko dobro to enable these people to invest money in the infrastructure of these facilities, that is, to increase kitchen space and everything that entails good hygiene practices, good manufacturing practices and the HACCP system," said Đurović.
He pointed out that the way facilities are maintained is very important for food safety, because working conditions directly affect the health of consumers.
"Hygiene itself in these facilities leads to the final result, namely the health of consumers," said Đurović.
