The recent heat wave has had its consequences for the wildlife of Lake Skadar. Namely, due to high temperatures, low water levels and lack of oxygen, hundreds of fish have died in the largest lake on the Balkan Peninsula. Although authorities explain that this is a phenomenon that can occur in the aforementioned weather conditions, the question arises, how alarming is the situation? How many cases of poaching have been recorded this summer? In what way are noisy parties, on an increasing number of tourist boats, endangering the sensitive wildlife? Why does garbage continue to bury this natural pearl?
