A fire was reported to Nikšić firefighters shortly after 20 p.m. in the immediate vicinity of the Ostrog Monastery, confirmed TV Vijesti by Goran Tripković from the Protection and Rescue Service.
He explained that firefighters are in the parking lot near the monastery, and that he believes the fire cannot threaten the monastery itself, but that it is currently burning in inaccessible terrain where it is impossible to approach.
He announced that crews would be on duty and try to stop the fire as soon as it was accessible to them to extinguish it, emphasizing that the night made it even more difficult for them to operate.

Tripković said that fires are active in several locations in the Nikšić municipality, and that there was intensive activity in the village of Broćanac today, but that there are no threatened structures tonight.
