Set during World War II, the story follows the fate of a boy who, fleeing from a fascist unit that killed his parents and burned down his village, finds refuge in the home of an Albanian named Nur Doka. The host is faced with a difficult decision: to hand over the child to his persecutors or to put his own family in danger by protecting him.
At the heart of this war drama are honor, responsibility, and humanity that transcends religious and national differences. What does it mean to save face when the price of that choice is life? Through the fate of a house and its inhabitants, Vukčević's work confronts us with the question of how much we are willing to sacrifice in order to remain true to our values.
The main roles are played by Edon Rizvanoli, Igor Benčina, Nikola Ristanovski, Alban Ukaj, Selman Jusufi, Xhejlane Terbunja, Aleksandar Radulović, Branimir Popović and Ana Vučković, alongside the legendary Zef Bat Dedivanović in his last film role.
