The police claim to have shed light on the attempted murder of "Vijesti" journalist Olivera Lakić.
Assistant Director of the Police Administration Enis Baković said that the police found evidence that FB (1990) from Podgorica organized a criminal group from which nine members were arrested so far "who aimed to commit serious crimes against life and limb".
According to "Vijesti" information, the police suspect Filip Bešović of organizing a criminal group whose members include Mario Milošević (1981), Goran Rakočević (1985), Dejan Vukašinović (1983), Luka Bulatović (1997), Mijailo Stojanović (1985), Filip Knežević ( 1989), Marinko Rajković (1991) and Sanja Božović (1981).
Baković says that they are the suspects for the attempted murder of Lakić and the murder of Miodrag Kruščić in Podgorica on May 21, 2018.
According to the police, members of the criminal group followed Olivera Lakić, and then wounded her in front of the building where she lives.
Baković said that they are verifying the information that this criminal group has committed several crimes in the territory of Montenegro and the region.
The head of the Podgorica Security Center, Milovan Pavićević, said that FB followed Lakić with some members of his group on May 8 last year from the moment she left the newsroom of "Vijesti" to her apartment on Bulevar Svetog Petar Cetinjski.
"On which occasion he waited until he got out of the vehicle and headed towards the entrance of the building, in order to approach it and in an insidious manner inflicted a serious bodily injury in the area of the right leg with a gun of an unknown brand," Pavićević said.
He added that it was established that this criminal group was renting apartments in several locations in Podgorica, with the aim of preparing for the commission of serious crimes, storing and keeping items and means that they needed for criminal activity and the execution of criminal acts.
He said that the police at several locations in Podgorica and Cetinje found a large amount of weapons and ammunition, explosives and explosive devices, hand grenades and grenades, tactical, communication and disguise equipment, special tools for opening vehicles and apartments.
"Vehicles that were used before, during and after the commission of the aforementioned crimes were found and seized. The found items of criminal offenses in terms of number, purpose and destructive power speak in the best way about the organization and recklessness of this already prosecuted group of persons, as well as their intentions to put their criminal plan into action," said Pavićević.
Lakić was wounded on May 8, 2018, in the evening in front of the building where she lives, on Svetog Petar Cetinjsko Boulevard in Podgorica.
In the same place where she was beaten six years ago, Lakić was met by a man who shot her in the leg.
Bullet pellets and casings were not found during the on-site investigation, which was conducted the night Lakić was shot and the following morning.
Baković previously announced that they were assisted in the investigation by the American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), to which they sent all the files of the investigation.
