Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dačić said today that Alija Balijagić, suspected of murdering two people near Bijelo Polje, was located in the village of Obarde on the territory of Montenegro.
Dacic, after a conversation with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Montenegro, Danilo Šaranović, on the sidelines of the Budapest process, said that the police of the two countries are continuing their intensive search for Balijagić.
"The latest information is that he was located tonight in a village on the Montenegrin side of the border. However, when the Montenegrin police approached and approached him with the intention of arresting him, he ran away," said Dacic, as reported by the MUP.
He added that a few days ago DNA traces were found that Balijagić was on the territory of Serbia.
"The search continues, he crosses from one side of the border to the other knowing the terrain. He is an extremely dangerous man who has committed many of the most serious crimes," the minister said.
Balijagić (64) is suspected of killing Jovan and Milenko Madžgalj on October 25 in the village of Sokolac near Bijelo Polje.
