The duty judge for the investigation of the Basic Court, Gorica Đalović, ordered the detention of AS from Bijelo Polje for up to 30 days, due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of exploiting children for pornography.

By order of the state prosecutor on duty at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje, the Police Directorate - Crime Prevention Sector, Department for Suppression of Serious Crimes, deprived AS of his liberty two days ago.

The defendant is charged with obtaining, possessing and distributing, through multiple email addresses used by him, self-visual images or other pornographic content featuring minors, which he downloaded from IP addresses within the IP address range of internet service providers from Montenegro, during 2024 and 2025. He used his two email accounts and two mobile phones for the aforementioned actions.

Detention, as stated by the Basic Court, was ordered due to special circumstances indicating that there is a real and serious risk on the part of the defendant that, if released, he will repeat the criminal offense, as well as that he will be in a position to destroy, hide or alter any evidence he may possess or traces of criminal proceedings related to the criminal offense in question.
