Prison officers have found and arrested escaped detainee Aleksandar Prelević, Vijesti was told unofficially by the Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions (UIKS) in Spuž.
According to the same information, the Skopje guards found the fugitive who escaped from the infectious diseases clinic of the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG) in Podgorica this morning in the Podgorica neighborhood of Zabjelo.
Prelević was arrested after a day-long chase.
Prelević was being kept in the hospital because he was remanded in custody last week for property crimes.
Prelević was reported missing this morning at around 6.40:XNUMX a.m.

"On September 8, 2025, in the morning, the detained person AP, suspected of the crime of theft (detention measure determined by the basic court), who was undergoing treatment at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases of the KCCG, escaped from hospital treatment," the UIKS told "Vijesti" earlier today.
As they explained at the time, on that occasion, two security officers from the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions were engaged in the security duties of Prelević, in accordance with the rules of security work at UIKS.
"Activities are underway to locate this person by both UIKS officers and Police Directorate officers, and in parallel, the circumstances under which the detainee escaped from the hospital are being determined. After determining all the facts and circumstances of the specific event, the public will be informed in a timely manner," UIKS told "Vijesti" earlier today.
