The suspect in the double murder in Nikšić, Baranin Lazar Vulević, has been ordered to be detained for up to 72 hours.
Vulević is suspected of the murder of MP (74) and MV (41).
"After questioning the suspect LV, the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica ordered the detention of the aforementioned person for up to 72 hours, due to the suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of aggravated murder against two persons MP and MV and the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives. In the further course of the proceedings, the prosecutor's office will issue an order to conduct an investigation and take all measures and actions prescribed by law in order to shed light on the specific event," the prosecutor's office announced.
The bodies of a woman and a man were found two nights ago in an apartment on Peka Pavlovića Street in the center of Nikšić.
The Police Directorate officially announced yesterday that the Nikšić police were informed by a family member on Monday evening, around 7:20 p.m., that MP was not answering their phone calls and that they had not established contact with him for two days.
Vulević was quickly located in an isolated building in Bar and arrested.
