At least three mercenaries of the Skaljar clan, Arjan Rečković, Tarik Muminović and Miloš Marković, were arrested this morning in a police operation in the Podgorica neighborhood of Stari Aerodrom.
According to information from "Vijesti", the action was carried out by members of the Special Police Department (SPO) on the orders of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT).
They were supported by the Podgorica police, the Special Police Unit (SJP) and the National Security Agency (ANB).

"Vijesti" has learned that members of the security sector have been monitoring and tracking part of this criminal team for days, and that this morning, with the support of the Special Police Unit, they raided two apartment buildings and arrested the mercenaries of the Skalja clan and their helpers.
The Police Directorate (UP) officially confirmed that Marković, Rečković and Muminović were arrested, and stated that they are members of an active cell of a high-risk organized crime group operating in the territory of Podgorica, and that their deprivation of liberty disrupted the activities of that cell.
The Police Department states that officers from the Special Police Department, the Regional Security Center "Centar" and the Crime Prevention Sector, with the tactical dominance and superiority of the Special Police Unit, in coordinated activities of the Special State Prosecutor's Office and with the active contribution of the National Security Agency, carried out a precise tactical operation in which they located, placed under control and deprived of liberty three members of an active cell of a branch of a high-risk OKG operating in the territory of Podgorica.

They pointed out that three people for whom an international arrest warrant had been issued by NCB Interpol Podgorica were deprived of their liberty.

He was also wanted for the criminal offenses of creating a criminal organization and illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives. The security institution emphasizes that during the implementation of this operation and the arrest of OKG members, based on the initiative of the Special State Prosecutor's Office and an order obtained from the Higher Court in Podgorica, searches are being carried out in two apartment buildings and other premises used by these individuals.

"Persons deprived of their liberty will be taken to the competent judicial authorities for further jurisdiction. Further police and prosecutorial activities are being undertaken in relation to the activities of this OKG, the outcome of which will be informed to the public in a timely manner.
