The educational institution marked 75 years of work with an exhibition of art works by extremely talented students of the elementary school "Mileva Lajović Lalatović" from Nikšić, entitled "Perspectives". The exhibition was organized in the foyer of the Nikšić Theater, and the audience had the opportunity to see for themselves that the talent of the students, led by the academic sculptor and art teacher, Rajko Sušić, goes beyond the framework of the elementary education process.
"The works were created within the art section over a period of 12-15 years and they exceed the time we were given to do it. Work, dedication, hanging out together show what young people can do if they want to. These papers go beyond the general standard of primary education. "They are at the level of a secondary art school and deserve to leave the framework of our school," said Sušić.
80 works were presented at the exhibition, and their mentor expressed the hope that the relevant ministry will restore the fund of art culture classes to two a week, because the children, as well as the subject, deserve it.
"You need to pay attention to each individual, and that is impossible with one class. That's a whole army of kids you don't have time to reach. Who knows who is hiding in those children - is it Lubarda, Milunović or who knows who," said Sušić.
The director of the school, Irena Vasiljević, said that the students and their mentor showed exceptional creativity and imagination, but also effort, and that the exhibition not only celebrates children's imagination, but also supports the importance of art in the development of every child.
"The exhibition is an opportunity to admire the extraordinary works that are the fruits of children's hands, minds and hearts, but also the instructions of their mentor, academic sculptor and art teacher Rajko Sušić, to whom I express my sincere and great gratitude for everything he has done and is doing for our students", said Vasiljević and added that she hopes the exhibition will encourage them to continue exploring art and developing their talents.
"These works are more than artistic expressions - they are a window into childhood, full of joy, wonder and exploration. Let this exhibition be a reminder to all of us that we should preserve and nurture children's imagination and creativity. Let their fearlessness inspire us to return to our own childhood, where the limits of imagination were endless," said the school director.
The Vice President of the Municipality, Mitar Goranović, said that the students, guided by the "safe, professional and parental hand of their teachers", chose the right role models and found inspiration in the works of unsurpassed greats of the fine arts such as Van Gogh, Lubarda, Picasso...
"Our young artists very successfully transferred their emotions, knowledge and dedication to art onto the canvas, thus 'painting' a kind of ode to creativity and imagination," said Goranović.
He pointed out that art education teacher Rajko Sušić has shown for many times that he "unmistakably recognizes the creative potential of young artists and expertly nurtures them".
The program was led by the PR of the school, Sait Šabotić, who pointed out that they were all united by the children's incredibly positive energy, "the one that pleases the soul, that is pleasant to the eyes and that fills us with new experiences and values".
The school choir under the direction of teacher Maja Andrijašević also participated in the program, which showed why the audience always looks forward to their performances and send them off with applause.
The exhibition, which was organized as part of the event "September Days of Culture", under the auspices of the Municipality of Nikšić, was also attended by the Ambassador of North Macedonia to Montenegro Zećir Ramčilović and the President of the SO Nikšič Nemanja Vuković.
