The Police Directorate announced that traffic has been restored in Podgorica at the roundabout on Zlatica, in front of the entrance to the highway, which was blocked for half an hour due to citizen protests.
Residents of the Zagorič Forest Park had been gathering at that location on previous days, from 15 to 15:30 p.m.
They are protesting what they claim is high interest rates charged by the state to pay for state-owned plots of land on which they built houses about 20 years ago.
They are requesting that the court costs and interest that were imposed on them in the land restitution proceedings, as they previously stated, be waived.
They are also demanding a review of the decisions that returned the land to private ownership, stressing that they believe the procedure was unfair to the current users of those plots.
