The Development Program of the Royal Capital of Cetinje for 2026 and the Capital Budget have already planned funds for the renovation of the cinema hall on Rijeka Crnojevića, the preparation and planning of which the city administration has been working intensively for a long time.
This was announced from the Royal Capital of Cetinje after the non-governmental organizations Center for Civic Education (CCE) and Antifascists of Cetinje submitted an initiative to the local authorities today for the renovation of the cinema hall.
As stated by the Royal Capital, the public procurement plan for 2026 foresees funds in the amount of 200.000 euros excluding VAT for the adaptation of the facility. The project documentation is currently being prepared, after which a tender procedure will be launched to select a contractor.
"Therefore, this is a project that is already in the implementation phase, and not an initiative that has yet to be considered. If the procedure is carried out according to the planned dynamics, the completion of the adaptation is expected by June. The city administration recognizes the importance of this facility for the cultural, historical and tourist development of Rijeka Crnojevića and continues with concrete activities for its renovation," the statement concludes.
