Everything is ready for the maintenance of regional and highway roads during the coming winter, it was concluded at the meeting of representatives of the Traffic Administration with representatives of the Police Administration, the Ministry of Transport, Montenegro Roads and the Automobile Association of Montenegro.
This was announced by the Traffic Administration.
"At the meeting, it was confirmed that all measures were taken so that the traffic would run smoothly even in the most demanding weather conditions, and that, in accordance with the plan, sufficient workers, machinery, equipment, as well as sufficient quantities of salt and paddy, were provided, and that the services are ready for winter and winter maintenance of the roads", the press release points out.
The Traffic Administration added that the road maintenance plan for the winter period, i.e. from November 15 to March 31, defined the dynamics of the inclusion of resources and workforce.
"Already from November 15, 20% of trucks with snow plows and spreaders will be available, as well as 20% of workers to prevent icing and clear minor snowfall at higher altitudes. From November 25, 80% of snow plow trucks will be active and spreading, 75% of loaders, 100% of special machines and 80% of road workers, while from December 15th all means of work and work will be included power according to the Maintenance Plan in the winter period," the announcement reads.
The Traffic Administration said that this plan is flexible and that it adapts to the intensity of precipitation, temperatures and weather forecasts.
"The contractor, Crnagoraput, is obliged to ensure passability even outside the scheduled period if winter conditions require it. The goal of road maintenance in the winter period, that is, in winter conditions, is to maintain passability and the safe flow of traffic. Priority is given to road routes that have the greatest importance for the economy, social and other needs, as well as the roads that connect Montenegro with other countries," the announcement concludes.
