The new Air Montenegro aircraft "Embraer E195" landed at Podgorica Airport at around 22.15:XNUMX p.m.
The arrival of the third aircraft of this type of the national airline Air Montenegro, which was scheduled to land at Podgorica Airport around 19.30:XNUMX p.m., was delayed due to adverse weather conditions in Poland.
The aircraft arrived in Podgorica from the Polish city of Bidogošć, where the so-called PART -145 authorized MRO organization for servicing, overhauling and maintaining Embraer aircraft of the E190/195 series is located.
According to aviation tradition, he was greeted with a so-called water salute with water cannons from airport fire trucks.
The plane was welcomed by representatives of several state departments and services, the Airport of Montenegro, Air Montenegro's business partners, and media representatives. Representatives of the Serbia and Montenegro Air Traffic Control Agency (SMATSA) also attended the welcoming ceremony.

There, the new aircraft in the fleet of the Montenegrin national airline has been serviced by authorized personnel for the past little over a month according to procedures approved by the aircraft manufacturer itself, the Brazilian company Embraer.
This E195, when finally inspected by experts from the Civil Aviation Agency of Montenegro upon arrival in Podgorica, should be entered into the Montenegrin civil aircraft register under the registration number 4O-AOE.

The aircraft is still recognized on tracking services such as Flightradar 24 by its previous registration number OY-GDB, under which it was registered in the Danish registry.

The aircraft has received all the necessary papers and a temporary permit to fly from Poland to Montenegro, where the procedure for its final inspection by the CAA of Montenegro and its registration in the Montenegrin registry should be completed in the coming days.

This E195 was taken out by Air Montenegro on a so-called dry lease for a period of three years in an arrangement that involves leasing only the aircraft, without crew, maintenance, and insurance.

This means that this aircraft will be flown by Air Montenegro flight crew, serviced by cabin crew, and maintained by technicians from the Montenegrin national airline.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Air Montenegro, Tihomir Dragaš, told reporters that the fact that the top management of the national airline was on the first flight of this aircraft is proof that it is absolutely safe and proper for passengers and that there is no room for unfounded criticism and doubts about the quality of this aircraft that have been expressed in recent days by a part of the Montenegrin public.

Air Montenegro CEO Vuk Stojanović said that the entire country should rejoice over the expansion of the national carrier's fleet because this E195 is the first new commercial passenger aircraft to be introduced into operational use in Montenegro after a break of 11 years.
He pointed out that with this aircraft, "Montenegro has in fact gained a new, smaller factory that will generate at least 35 million euros in revenue in the next few years" and at the same time contribute to improving Montenegro's air connectivity.

Ahead of the arrival of the new aircraft, Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić also spoke out, emphasizing that the addition to the national airline's fleet means better connections with tourist markets and strengthening the economy.
"The national airline AirMontenegro's fleet is being strengthened. Another plane means more destinations and passengers, which will contribute to better connections with tourism markets and strengthening the Montenegrin economy. I wish the crew and passengers many successful flights, peaceful skies and safe landings. May Air Montenegro continue to spread its wings, connecting people, ideas and opportunities, to the pride of all citizens of Montenegro," Spajić wrote in a post on the social network Iks.
