The Government today adopted the Program for Improving Economic Competitiveness and the Program for the Development and Promotion of Crafts for this year, for the implementation of which a total of 3,88 million euros has been allocated, the Ministry of Economic Development announced.

"The programs have proven to be very successful and as concrete models of support, both in creating a more resilient, competitive and export-oriented economy, and in encouraging the development of Montenegrin craftsmen," said Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Minister of Economic Development, Nik Đeljošaj, at a press conference after the Government session.

The total budget for the implementation of the Program for Improving Economic Competitiveness is 3,5 million euros, while the budget for the Program for the Development and Promotion of Crafts is 380 thousand euros.

Đeljošaj emphasized that the excellent results of the implementation and realization of both programs provide additional encouragement to continue supporting the domestic economy and craftsmen.

"Only through support for domestic producers and craftsmen is it possible to increase productivity and competitiveness, as well as encourage entrepreneurship, especially among women and young people, which ultimately contributes to the economic development and prosperity of the country," concluded Đeljošaj.
