Last night, in front of several hundred spectators, the "Makedonissimo" concert was held on the plateau in front of King Nikola's Palace, performed by the quintet of the famous North Macedonian pianist Simon Trpčeski (40).
For more than two hours, Trpceski - piano and accordion, violinist Aleksandar Krapovski, cellist Aleksandar Somov, Hidan Mamudov - clarinet, saxophone and kavali and Vlatko Nušev - percussion performed "Pletenice" - traditional folk songs and carols in modern arrangements by composer Panda Šahov, who Trpčeski signs the "Makedonissimo" project, which has specially processed selected ethnic melodies for the chamber ensemble.
In the previous two years, as long as the project lasts, the first "Makedonissimo" concert was in Germany, then in London, Amsterdam, Poland and France, and before Bar, the last concert was in Belgrade.
A performance in Romania will follow. Trpčeski said that the concert at Ljetopis was the Montenegrin premiere of his project, and that he hopes that the audience will have the opportunity to hear them in our other cities as well.
Trpčeski (40) is a graduate of the School of Music in Skopje in the class of Professor Boris Romanov. He performed as a pianist with the most important world orchestras - Royal Concert Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, VDR Sinfonieorchester, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra National de France, Real Filharmonia de Galicia, New York and Los Angeles Philharmonics, New Japan Philharmonic, China Philharmonic and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
He regularly performs solo recitals in New York, London, Paris, Munich, Prague and Tokyo, as well as chamber music at the "Verbier", "Aspen Music Festival", International Festival in Bergen, "Baltic Sea" and "BBC Proms". With the special support of "KulturOp" - the leading North Macedonian cultural and artistic organization, Trpčeski is dedicated to helping younger generations of musicians and their affirmation.
