Exhibition of an academic painter Goran Ćetković will be opened today in Herceg Novi, at the One&Only Portonovi hotel, at 17 p.m. The exhibition is realized as part of the artistic project "Artist in residence", and the organizer is the renowned gallery "Pizana" from Podgorica and the hotel "One&Only".
"I will present myself with 15 new paintings-landscapes that are a continuation of the cycle 'Horizons'. The exhibition lasts until June 29, and during the duration of the exhibition I will stay in the hotel, communicate with the audience - guests, and at the end of the exhibition, i.e. the final evening, an auction of one work will be organized. Funds from the auction will be sent to the Children's Home 'Mladost' in Bijela", said Ćetković to "Vijesta".
Ćetković's paintings from the cycle "Horizons" are dominated by the motifs of the Montenegrin karst, water, sun, untouched areas of nature, and they were mostly created during the previous three years.
"In this cycle, I moved from the real to the abstract, from the expressive to the fantastic. Each picture is imbued with emotion, and the landscapes seem to spread the sound of remembrance and nostalgia. This is supported by the titles of the works 'Zavičaj', 'Passage', 'Distance'...", announced Ćetković.
He also emphasized the importance of the project within which the exhibition is being realized, which is distinguished by the fact that the artist stays in the hotel during the duration of the exhibition and talks with visitors.
"That stay in the hotel implies the promotion of creativity and direct communication with hotel guests, that is, the international audience through a residential stay in the hotel. What makes me especially happy is that on the last evening, an auction of work is being organized, which I will donate together with the organizers for humanitarian purposes. It is also important to note that visiting the exhibition can be scheduled by phone, which can be found on the Facebook or Instagram page of the Pizana gallery", announced Ćetković, for whom this is his 35th solo exhibition.
