The musical program of the XXXVI "Grad Teatar" festival ended in the Church of Santa Maria in Budva's Old Town with a concert by the young Montenegrin pianist Vladana Perović.

As the young artist said, she enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere and ambience of the Church of Santa Maria, and she was particularly pleased to perform again at the Grad Theater festival.

At the concert, she performed works by Bach, Galupi and Liszt, and at the end, the audience called for an encore with great applause. Her wish was for the repertoire to be diverse and to cover several eras, while she said of Baldasser Galupi that the Italian composer, who is performed less often, is unfairly neglected.

"The sonata in three movements is very beautiful, musically pleasing to the audience. It seems to me that both the audience and I enjoyed it equally, and I hope that I managed to convey all the emotions that I felt during the performance," she said.

Perović recalled her previous performance at the "Grad Teatar" festival in 2017.

"Then, together with the orchestra of the Academy from Cetinje and the conductor Radovan Papović, I performed on the stage between the churches when I performed Mozart's concerto for piano and orchestra in A major. I have fond memories of this festival".

Perović studied in Italy, where she is still improving, and is currently in specialist studies.

"Italy offers a lot, above all a very good academic education. However, I would like to draw attention to the fact that I left Montenegro with a very good foundation. The difference between Italy and Montenegro is that there are more concerts, and that is very important for the development of a pianist and artist. Also, the competition is much greater and encourages us to work on ourselves and improve," Perović emphasized.

As part of the off program of the festival, on August 17 in the Church of Santa Maria in the Old Town at 20 p.m., the students of the School for Basic Music Education from Budva will perform.
