Days of Albanian film in Montenegro

The Film Center of Montenegro (FCCG) and the National Cinematography Center of Albania jointly organize a program called "Film as a tool for intercultural dialogue", which will start today in Montenegro and will be held in four cities until June XNUMX, symbolically as "Days of Albanian Film in Montenegro".

The program begins in Podgorica with a conference that will take place at 11.30:18 a.m. in the Montenegrin Cinematheque, in the "Gojko Kastratović" hall, followed by screenings of short films: "The Planting of the Trees" directed by Fabio Seferi, "Sheets" by Evi Gjoni and "Cadillac and Blackberries" directed by Suela Bako. The program continues at 20 p.m., when seven animated films for children created at the end of the 20th century will be shown, while the screening of the feature film "My Lake", directed by Đerđo Džuvanija, will begin at XNUMX p.m.

The animated films for children that will be screened are: "Zhgaravina", "Stop Kundravajtje", "Lufta per jeten", "Arushi qe kerkonte babane", "Dy gostite", "Pipiruku pret 2 miq" and "Zeri i zaktu, zeri and tokes”.

In addition to Podgorica, screenings of Albanian films will also be held tomorrow in Tuzi, when the short films "Dori" and "The Planting of the Trees" and the feature film "Love" will be shown at the Cultural and Information Center "Malesija" at 18 p.m. directed by Dionis Papadimitri, on the program at 20 p.m.

At the Gusinje Cultural Center, screenings begin on June 18 at 20 p.m., and the following films have been announced: "Sheets" and "Cadillac and Blackberries", and at XNUMX p.m., "Love" is on the repertoire.

The program ends on June XNUMX, after screenings of Albanian films at the Ulcinj Cultural Center, where "Dori", "The Planting of the Trees" and "My Lake" will be shown.

Screenings of Albanian and Montenegrin films in the two countries are part of the activities carried out by FCCG and the National Cinematography Center of Albania with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of film. The program began with a conference on March 27 in Tirana, after which selected Montenegrin films were shown in Tirana, Đirokastra, Valona, ​​Shkodër.

The program is part of the activities foreseen in the memorandum of cooperation between the Film Center of Montenegro and the National Center for Cinematography of Albania, which was signed by the directors of the centers Aleksandra Božović and Eduart Makri at the beginning of the year in Kotor. The subject of the Memorandum is the cooperation of the centers with the aim of affirming audiovisual activities and culture, the need for audience development, as well as encouraging film co-productions between the two countries.
