Artists gathered around the initiative "Culture is not prey" continue with a series of panel discussions, today in Podgorica in the "201 engaging space" at 19 p.m. The topic they are working on this time is "Public interest in culture: How to get freedom?" and on that occasion they deal with the status of freelance artists in Montenegro.

"This panel continues a series of public discussions and debates with the aim of a detailed overview of the state of Montenegrin culture, bringing together creators and cultural workers on the one hand and representatives of institutions on the other through the initiation and promotion of a culture of dialogue," they announce.

They state that during the panel discussion they will raise topics such as: "What does the status of 'freelance artist' mean in Montenegro and how is it acquired?; What does the application process look like and is it transparent, and when was the last time a competition was announced?; Who makes the commission that decides on that status and how it is chosen?; What does that status bring to artists and can they live and create with dignity?"... These are just some of the questions on which the panelists will exchange experiences and attitudes and try to give answers. The panelists are: drama and audiovisual artist Dušan Vuleković, drama artist Theodore Kip, fine artist Jovana Vujović and head of the Directorate for the Status of Artists, Experts and State Awards in the Ministry of Culture and Media Aleksandra Popović. The moderator of the event is a playwright Sandra Vujović.
