Actress and producer Ivana Mrvaljević passed away today at the age of 47.
Mrvaljević was born on September 26, 1976 in Cetinje.
She graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje, acting department, in the class of Professor Bor Stjepanović
She has a master's degree at the University of Turin in cinematographic and TV production and cross-media communication on the subject: Project Montenegro Film Commission.
From 2007 to 2008, she was the artistic director of the Royal Theater Zetski dom.
She was also the director of the Podgorica City Theater from 2012 to 2016, and during her tenure some of the most popular plays were staged, as well as one of the longest-running ones in the City Theater - "Slasti slava".
She was also one of the founders of the NGO Youth Theater in 2002
Among the latest projects is the play "I think we should talk" at the City Theater directed by Danilo Marunović, which premiered in 2023, as well as the monodrama "The Unpublished Diary of Katerina Radonjić" directed by Dušanka Belada, as well as the documentary-feature film "Živko Nikolić - Unfulfilled dream" directed by Senad Šahmanović.
