The funeral of one of the icons of French cinema, Alain Delon, who died last Sunday at the age of 89, will be held on Saturday at his estate in Duchy, south of Paris, several sources announced today.
The funeral of the actor, whose death caused a wave of tributes around the world, is scheduled for Saturday at 17 p.m. in Duši, where he lived in seclusion for a long time and died, C-News and BFMTV reported.
The funeral will be led by Jean-Michel di Falco, a former bishop who knew the actor.
Delon wanted to be buried on his property, near his dogs, which requires permission from the prefecture. He also wanted his funeral to be held in the presence of only a few dozen relatives, without national recognition.
During his five-decade career, Delon, born on November 8, 1935, in the city of So near Paris, played in about a hundred films, including "Rocco and his brothers", "Cheetah", "Samurai", "The Cop", "Mr. Klein", "Eclipsa"...
