The third Ethnological Film Festival "Risan 2024" will be held in Risan from August 31 to September 3, 2024, organized by the NGO "Medaur" Risan - Society for Cultivating the Cultural Heritage of Risan, with the themes of inheritance, legacy and heritage.
The central program will be held on the plateau of the Ivelić Palace in Risno at 20 pm.
On the first day, films will be shown: "Krošnja" Predrag Todorović from Serbia, "Land of Kerek" Ivan Galavnjova from Russia and "The Sound of My Phone" by Australian directors Jennifer Deger i Gurumuruvuja Pattern.
On Sunday, September 1, a film by the Dutch director, Dorne Vaniuvel, "In Search of Enoch".
On the same day, at 18:XNUMX, the photo exhibition "Risan - then and now" will be opened on the waterfront of Risan. Author and author of the exhibition, political scientist M.Sc Jelena Čečur the photographers Ranko Maraš, tried to select photos of Risan taken up to the 80s of the XNUMXth century, and to use them as a model to show how Risan looks now from the same location and from the same angle.
"The goal of this exhibition is to present the rich cultural heritage of Risno, but to express the need to valorize it in the right way," said the festival organization.
Monday, September 2, is reserved for heritage stories. At 18 p.m. in the courtyard of the Kordić family in Bujevina, the publication "The Kordić Family in Risno" will be presented, which is the result of the author's decades-long research into the origins of his family through various archives throughout Boka Kotorska. The audience will also have the opportunity to listen to how she sees the need to research one's own origins from the professional perspective of an anthropologist Tamara Lepetić. After this, there will be a lecture on the right of dowry in the Kotor Statute from 1616 Janko Paunović, a doctoral student at the Institute of Roman Law at the Vienna Faculty of Law, whose focus of research is the dowry, a key social institution for him, according to the organization.
On the same day, from 20 p.m., there will be film screenings. The authors will present themselves to the audience Reza Majlesi from Iran with the film "Svanula je zora", as well as the Montenegrin director Miljan Vuceljic with the movie "Doline". On the same evening, the film "Bequest" by the Danish-Dutch director will be shown Gudmunda i Drilling a stick.

In the part of the program called "Echo Festival" on September 4 and 5, there will be guest appearances with screenings of selected films in several locations: the "Grabovac" Old People's Home in Risan, the plateau in front of the Cultural Center in Mirac and in the parish home in Dragoševo Selo. on Krivošije.
