Rehearsals for the play "Top Friends", according to the text and direction Jelena Lele Milošević, co-produced by the Cultural Center of the Royal Capital of Cetinje and the Cultural and Information Center "Budo Tomović", began at the KIC, where the premiere is planned for February 10, the statement said.
"'Top Friends' is a drama that explores interpersonal relationships, social expectations and everyday misunderstandings between friends through three characters. In a humorous and emotional way, the play exposes hidden weaknesses and insecurities that surface as the characters prepare for a gala dinner, revealing deeper layers of friendship," the Cultural Center of the Royal Capital of Cetinje said in a statement.
Jelena Lela Milošević added that for her, the beginning of work on the play "Top Friends" represents an exciting exploration of friendships, expectations, and internal dilemmas that are close to everyone's hearts.
"Through dynamic rehearsals and the exchange of ideas with the actors, we discover how friendship survives the challenges of honesty, ambition and personal weaknesses. This process is an opportunity to connect more deeply with the subject and bring emotions that the audience will recognize. I look forward to the creative journey ahead and believe that inspiring work awaits us, and after that, a good performance," said Milošević.
The roles in the play are played by: Vanja Jovicević, Emir Catovic i Marija Maša Labudović.
Speaking about her role, actress Jovićević emphasized that, regardless of the years of work behind her, she always looks forward to new challenges.
"Lela wrote an excellent text and gathered a great team with whom it is easy and pleasant to work. The role that fell to me is completely different from me, it is a dynamic task and I am glad when I get the opportunity to expand my acting range. Smaller-format plays are missing from the Montenegrin theater scene, and I believe that with this theme of friendship we will win the hearts of the audience," said Jovićević.
The performance is also the beginning of a successful collaboration between the Cultural Center of the Royal Capital of Cetinje and KIC "Budo Tomović". The two institutions will continue to expand their cooperation and work together on future projects in order to jointly contribute to the enrichment of the cultural scene and the creation of new artistic experiences, to the delight of the audience.
