If we don't protect nature, we don't protect ourselves. Nature can do without us, but we can't do without nature.
These are the words of artist Mirjana Marsenić Vujović, whose exhibition "The Sound of Silence" opened tonight in Podgorica. These words contain the essence of human existence, way of life, relationship to it, but also the essence of Marsenić Vujović's works. The curator of the exhibition, art historian Iva Vukotić, reminded us of this when opening the exhibition at the Modern Gallery.
The exhibition space of the Public Institution Museums and Galleries of Podgorica was transformed into a world of works of art, creating its own sound, colors and feeling, thus bringing an atmosphere completely opposite to the gloomy and rainy one outside. A large number of visitors stood for a long time in front of the colorful and dynamic, yet completely soothing and gentle canvases of the Montenegrin painter who chose them for this occasion on the 11th.
"I want to show you my 11 new works created in the oil on canvas technique. The exhibition is conceived and rounded off with an installation in space, an installation of floating water lilies that are also a symbol of transformation, not only physical, but also spiritual, from ancient civilizations to the present day. I hope you will enjoy and experience in your own way what I am offering you tonight," said Marsenić Vujović in her address to the audience.

Vukotić reminded that nature, in all its tenderness, sensuality and richness, is the backbone of Mirjana Marsenić Vujović's artistic poetics.
"Her work exudes sensuality, positive vibrations and a calming effect on the observer's eye. The depth of her works is reflected both in the physical sense through the combination and method of applying colors, and in the mental sense, with a touch of ecological activism. The opus based on natural shapes, colors and structures exudes freshness and intoxicatingness," Vukotić emphasized.
The exhibition "The Sound of Silence" by Mirjana Marsenić Vujović is open to the public until March 27th.
