The performance "Naličje", author's project of the director Boris Liješević, from the latest production of the Montenegrin National Theatre, has been selected to participate in the competition program of this year's jubilee 70th Sterijino Pozorje, which will be held from May 26 to June 3 in Novi Sad.
This year's edition, entitled "Creating History/Changing the Future", reflects the thematic guidelines of the selected performances, as well as the social circumstances in which the dramatic struggles for truth and justice are reflected.

As pointed out by the selector of this year's Sterijino Pozorje, Dr. Ana Tasic, a theatre scholar and theatre critic, the text of the play "The Other Side" was created during the rehearsal process, from the personal stories and experiences of the authors and actors, born out of the need to expose burning socio-political problems in Montenegro, but actually more broadly, in our entire region.
"Also, in the play as a whole, the interweaving of that palpably gloomy reality with darkly humorous scenes, a fine comedy that flows from tragic situations, in accordance with our Balkan mentality, a tendency towards grotesque laughter, a companion in the war with everyday troubles, is important. Boris Liješević delicately leads a large ensemble, on a recognizably minimalistically designed stage, whose dynamics occasionally play out, with the heating up of the action, the movement of part of the decor that represents some kind of warehouse, with a concrete and symbolic function. The actors perform with tangible fervor and energy, and prove a true, inner need to talk about these very topics on stage, psychologically bringing these stage doubles of our dark reality to life," says the explanation of selector Ana Tasić.
The roles are played by: Aleksandar Radulović, Jadranka Mamić, Danilo Celebic, Zoran Vujović, Ana Vujosevic, Nada Vukcevic, Gorana Dragasevic, Tihana Ćulafić, Jelena Minic, Jelena Nenezić, Žana Gardašević Bulatović, Kristina Obradović, Branka Otašević, Julija Milačić Petrović Njegoš, Radmila Božović, Jovan Dabović, Lazar Đurđević, Jovana Brnović i Anđela Marunović.
