Nuances will decide who the City Theatre Council will propose as the new acting (acting) general director of this cultural institution, Vijesti was told in an informal conversation after interviews with three candidates.
The following candidates applied for the position: former director of the Tivat Cultural Center Vojislav Vojo Kaluđerović, theater critic Iva Čukić Šoškić, whose biography states that she graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, as well as playwright and director Sandra Vujović.
The new City Theatre Council, headed by Miloš Marović and members: Nina Strugar, Stevan Kandić, Marko Vujisić and Nikola Krstić as a representative of the employees, conducted interviews with candidates today.
Interviews with the candidates began today at 10.30:30 am and lasted approximately XNUMX minutes. The first to be interviewed was Vujović, followed by Kaluđerović and finally Čukić Šoškić.
According to informal information from Vijesti, the Council has reached a decision, but it has not been formally adopted. The official decision will be announced no later than tomorrow, Vijesti was told.
The Council agreed that all candidates are exceptional, and that they presented a good vision for the further work and development of the Podgorica City Theatre, but also that the future director faces numerous important questions, challenges and problems, Vijesti was told.
Allegedly, according to the coalition agreement between the parties in power in the capital, the position of director of the City Theatre went to the Europe Now Movement (PES).
Sandra Vujović, who according to unofficial information from "Vijesti" is considered the favorite of PES, in a short conversation after the interview, told Vijesti that she was pleased to create and present the program and vision of the path the City Theater should take, and that she is eagerly awaiting the decision.
Iva Čukić Šoškić said that the interview took place in a positive atmosphere, with the Council's curiosity about what she envisioned as the path of development of the City Theater, with questions regarding artistic policies, the work process, but also internal relations. She added that she expects a decision in the short term. The New Serbian Democracy (NSD) is allegedly behind Čukić Šoškić, whose mother is a high-ranking official of that party.
Vojislav Kaluđerović told Vijesti that the interview took place in a fair atmosphere, that the Council was interested in his ideas and program, and that he was satisfied with his responses. According to information available on the internet, Kaluđerović is currently the head of the production sector of the Tivat Cultural Center, in 2016 he was the leader of the Social Democratic Party list in the local elections in Tivat, and later became a member of the Social Democrats.
The term of the current acting director of the City Theater, Ivona Čović Jaćimović, expires on April 16th, and she previously told "Vijesti" that she had not applied for the director position.
Regarding the vacancy for the General Director, the start date of the advertisement is February 24, and the end date is March 17 of the current year. The required occupations are a university degree in social sciences and a university degree in the field of humanities. Candidates for the position of director are required to submit a Plan and Program of Work and Development of the City Theater for the mandate period, which must include a financial and personnel plan for the implementation of the proposed program and a Curriculum Vitae (CV). The term of office of the director is four years.
"In addition to the general conditions set out by law, candidates must also meet the following special conditions set out in the Statute of the Public Institution "City Theatre" Podgorica: - higher education qualification of at least 240 CSPK credits, VII1 level of educational qualification, Faculty in the field of social sciences or humanities; - at least eight years of work experience in the same or similar jobs in relation to the jobs for which the vacancy has been announced, of which at least three years of work experience in management positions; - possession of work, professional and organizational skills," it was previously stated on the Institute's website.
