The first festival of political subliminals called Satiranje will be held at the Cultural Center 201 in Podgorica from April 16 to 18, a new gathering place for authors and satirists from Montenegro and the region, who, through humor, irony and sharp criticism, illuminate the dark sides of the political and media landscape.

The festival opens tonight at 19 pm with the promotion of the book "Farewell Newspapers" Bran Mandića, during which a journalist will talk to the author Petar Komnenic, opening up topics about the media transition and personal experiences of leaving journalism. Followed by a guest appearance on April 17.4th at the same time Domagoj Zovaka, the famous Croatian author of the Prime Time show, whose direct and humorous approach refreshes the way regional political everyday life is commented on. The festival's finale on April 18.4th is reserved for an interactive analysis of pre-election spots of Montenegrin political parties, led by satirists Random i Brcko, with active audience participation in deciphering marketing messages and manipulations.

At the end of the festival, the Golden Goat Award for Satire will be presented, a specially designed statuette by an academic sculptor. Adin Rastoder, which symbolically recognizes those who manage to speak the deepest truths through laughter.

The Satire Festival brings a platform for open dialogue, thoughtful criticism, and a healthy dose of political irony – right where it is needed most.

Admission to all programs is free.
