Public Institution Cultural Center "Nikola Đurković" / Kotor City Library and Reading Room, on the occasion of World Book and Copyright Day, tomorrow at 11 am, is organizing a promotion of a new novel Slavica Perović "The New Nora". The poet will talk to the author Marija Vujosevic.
"The New Nora" is a novel about the many faces of love, about the powerful, often invisible inner drama of a woman struggling to reconcile the identities of wife, mother, and cardiac surgeon. Her struggle goes beyond the personal, as she fights against a system that insists that only the private domain, i.e. family, belongs to women, while the public domain, i.e. political, belongs to men..."
Slavica Perović, a linguist, university professor and writer, was born in Kotor. She is the author of numerous scientific papers and a dozen books, including the novels: “Life Lift”, “Concrete Blues” and her latest novel “Nova Nora”. The novel “Nova Nora” aroused great interest among the regional audience and was shortlisted for the Nin Award.
The promotion will be held in the Multimedia Hall of the Cultural Center at 19 p.m.
