An artist Lena Nikčević will present their new works as part of the prestigious international exhibition "Utopian Drama", which opens on May 2 at the JW Project Gallery in Singapore. The exhibition is curated by renowned curators Marina Oechsner de Coninck i Clementine de Forton, in collaboration with the French Embassy in Singapore, as part of the "Voilah!" festival.
Lena Nikčević is one of ten carefully selected contemporary artists from Europe and Asia who will present more than 30 works, many of them premieres, within a conceptual space inspired by surrealism, abstraction and utopian visions. Through this exhibition, the artist will present herself to the Singaporean audience with a powerful visual expression that transcends cultural and media boundaries.

"Utopian Drama" offers an immersive experience that blurs the boundaries between artistic disciplines, bringing together painters, photographers and sculptors in a shared scenography of dreams, utopia and reality. The organizers emphasize that the exhibition opens a space for dialogue between different poetics and cultural sensibilities, while Lena Nikčević's works bring an authentic voice from the contemporary Montenegrin and European art scene.
The exhibition remains open until May 16th.

In addition to the exhibition, Lena Nikčević, who is active within the French art scene, will present her work on May 8th at "La Médiathèque" of the French Institute in Singapore, together with French contemporary artists. Helen Le Chatelier i Nicolas Lefeuvrom. This conversation will provide the audience with insight into the ecological and humanistic values that permeate their artistic practice, exploring how French contemporary artists respond to the challenges of rapid technological development and climate change. The conversation will be moderated by Marina Oechsner de Coninck, curator and co-curator of the exhibition “Utopian Drama”.

Lena Nikčević was born in Podgorica and studied painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje. She graduated and received her master's degree from the prestigious Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Tours (France), and also completed her professional training in Beijing. She is a co-founder of the art space "Ateliers de la Morinerie" in Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, France, where she continues to actively create, although she has lived in Munich with her family for many years. Her works are in numerous private and public collections, including the collection of the Municipality of Tours. So far, she has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout France, Germany, Belgium and Montenegro.
