The novel "Gods Die Stupid Deaths" by a journalist Srdana Kosovic published by Nova knjiga, will be promoted tomorrow, at 17 pm, as part of the Podgorica Book Fair in the Big Fashion shopping center. The author and moderator will talk about the book Petar Arbutina.
"Since we first get to know him, in the protagonist's journey we will go through, together with him, a series of multi-genre situations and sentiments: realistic, dramatic and melodramatic, dramedy and tragicomic, tragic, fantastic, the lowest and the sublime - all where we least expect it and interconnected in unexpected, exciting ways. 'Only when they came across the first house', the writer tells us at one point, 'Rade understood why sculptures should not be made in the wilderness by stacking stone upon stone. Because you can believe that wherever you look, you may be the first in history to see it.' "This lucid book about 'us' and 'them', about God, history and the whole intricate tangle that determines destinies in the Balkans, offers us precisely this perspective: reading it, we feel as if we are seeing it all for the first time, in a way that no one has seen before. So, together with the writer and his heroes, we ask universal questions. We travel like sleepwalkers, and, most unusually of all, the search for identity and origin ends as much in a downfall as in an apotheosis," the writer and translator wrote about Kosović's novel.
