The play "The Play of Hamlet in the Village of Mrduša Donja", produced by the National Theater in Pristina, will be performed tomorrow at 20 p.m. on the stage of the Nikšić Theater.
The play is based on the text Iva Brešana directed and adapted Jana Maričić. The play features: Milan Vasic, Bojan Stojcetovic, Jelena Orlovic, Aleksandra Cucic, Nebojsa Djordjevic, Nemanja Janicic, Nikola Stankovic i Djordje Velimirovic.
He signs the scenography Goran Stojcetovic, costumes Boris Cakshiran, a selection of music Jana Maričić, and stage speech Diana Marojević.
"More than half a century ago, Ivo Brešan, with his impeccable sense of humanity in the theater, or rather, his talent, proved that the rudimentary nature of man is resistant to the space-time context. Whether they are in Elsinore, in Donja Mrduša, or in some Serbian village in the very south of our country, individual people are often slaves to their lowest instincts. Once they feel the power and pleasure of easily stolen money, they surrender to this slavery, wrapped in the belief that there are no consequences, that greed is the same as need, that corruption is just a 'good combination'. Bukara and his retinue thus swing along the paths of evil, and we laugh at them until the prince of darkness takes the joke away from us, as the saying goes," said the director of the play, Jana Maričić.
