Children, young people, and all other interested parties will have the opportunity to meet a famous writer for children and young people in Kotor today. Uroš Petrović, which is a guest at the "Boka" Cinema at noon.
It is expected that the announced gathering will be an original adventure for visitors, given that Petrović's works push boundaries, ranging from collections of stories, brain teasers and novels in puzzles to fantastical tales.
Uroš Petrović (1967) is a writer whose works are increasingly becoming a favorite reading for adults as well, as they stir the senses, invite us to encounter the miraculous, the unusual, but also the terrifying, awakening a lush imagination and providing a distinctive sense of humor.
He is the author of more than 20 books and the winner of a number of the most prestigious awards for literature for young people. His books have been published in Italy, Hungary, Greece, Slovenia, Romania, North Macedonia and the Czech Republic, as well as in English. His award-winning novel "The Fifth Butterfly" was the basis for the first (and only) feature-length 3D film in Serbian cinema.
He is also the author of several original board games, some of which have won awards. He has also won a number of awards for photography (National Geographic, Microsoft, Wikipedia...), which he publishes all over the world. He is a guest lecturer at universities, schools and other educational institutions, workshops and congresses in the country and abroad...
The event is organized in cooperation with the Public Institution Cultural Center "Nikola Đurković" and the Kotor City Library and Reading Room.
