The company Mtel donated more than 40 seedlings, and its employees - including representatives of top management - today helped in planting them on the burnt part of the protected hill of Gorica.
"The Mtel company, as a socially responsible company, continued its Together to the Top project that we started last year on the occasion of our 15th birthday. Considering that our 16th birthday is approaching, we, employees of the Mtel company and representatives of our top management, have come to the top together to plant trees and improve the 'lungs' of our city", said Ana Martinović, PR manager of the Mtel company. .
She reminded that it is only one of a series of projects that they are implementing as part of the Together to the Top campaign, which they are continuing with new projects.
"We will certainly make our Montenegro better and more beautiful in the future, and this is proof that the employees of the Mtel company love Podgorica and our capital," concluded Martinović.
The Director of the Agency for the Management of Protected Areas of the Capital City, Dragutin Đeković, thanked for the donation, which became part of the continuous action of the Capital City and that Agency for the restoration and recovery of the burned part of Gorica.
"I am extremely glad that today we had the opportunity, together with the Mtel company, to plant about 40 adult seedlings on the burnt part of the Gorica hill, on the main plateau next to the sports fields. The Mtel company is recognized in Podgorica and Montenegro as socially responsible and the most beautiful "We would like to thank you for this donation. I hope that we will continue this beautiful and successful cooperation," he pointed out.
He announced that today's planting is the last in a series, and that they complete the planting of more than 100 seedlings until the autumn period.
"Then we are planning another contingent of planting, which would complete the planting process on the burned part, because experts believe that one part of Gorica should be left to rebuild itself. We are satisfied with the current dynamics, what we have planted has been well received so, I hope , Gorica shine again in the next few years with its true brilliance", added Đeković.
He once again thanked all the donors and those who helped make Gorica green again, and appealed to fellow citizens to be careful when visiting the hill and its forest during the summer months due to the high risk of fire.
Children also symbolically helped in the planting. So Luka Radulović, who came with his brother and mother, said that the whole action was "good for the park".
"I came with my aunt to plant trees and I can't wait for them to grow big. Yes, I will brag to my friends about what I did today when I get to third grade, as soon as the vacation is over," said Balša Zloković, who hopes that "Gorica will be beautiful when let the trees grow".
