Representatives of the parties of the former parliamentary majority held talks today on solving the political crisis.
The meeting, during which the parliamentarians tried to reach a compromise on the election of a new government and a new parliamentary leadership, began after 13 pm in one of the hotels in Podgorica.
The meeting, which was closed to the media, was attended by Andrija Mandić (NOVA), Milan Knežević (DNP), Branko Radulović (PzP), Miodrag Lekić (DEMOS), Srđan Pavićević (CIVIS), Momo Koprivica, Zdenka Popović, Dragan Krapović and Danilo Saranović from the Democrats, Marko Milačić (Prava), Miloš Konatar and Zoran Mikić from the Civic Movement URA, Vladimir Joković (SNP), Goran Danilović (United Montenegro).
This was the third meeting in the last eight days, and it was initiated, like the previous ones, by the president of the New Serbian Democracy and one of the leaders of the Democratic Front (DF), Andrija Mandić.
Mandic announced on Thursday that he expects the former majority to reach a compromise in principle at the weekend.
"We have an obligation, the citizens expect a new government and a new parliamentary leadership. We have set a very difficult task. Until everything is agreed, nothing is agreed," he said, stating that he would be honored if he were the new prime minister.
