The Minister of Public Administration Maraš Dukaj said that they are carefully monitoring the new situation in Budva, and that it is the task of the competent authorities to determine all the facts and check whether there were any violations of the law.
He says that the department will always use its powers only in a way to ensure the rule of law and the realization of the interests of citizens in each municipality.
"As a minister, I have the right to assess that the climate from the state level, with the absence of full political stability, has been transferred to local governments and that we are obliged to stop the trend of instability and disorder through democratic institutions," said Dukaj.
He says that this is why the Albanian Alternative advocates for the urgent adoption of a new law on local self-government, which the Ministry of Public Administration has already prepared.
"This is also an invitation to the parliament to also accept our initiatives that all local elections be held in one day, with the immediate election of the mayor. It is time to prove by action that the rule of law in the municipalities is ahead of individual political interests," Dukaj wrote on IX.
