The session of the Budva Municipal Assembly (MA), which was scheduled for tomorrow, and whose agenda includes a citizens' initiative to repeal the detailed urban plans "Budva Center" and "Budva Center Amendments", has been postponed.

This is the decision of the President of the Municipal Assembly, Petar Odžić, after there was no quorum at the assembly committees scheduled for today.

As "Vijesti" has learned, none of the representatives of political parties and citizen groups showed up for the scheduled sessions of working bodies and committees, so Odžić was left with no choice but to state that the sessions could not be held.

Odžić and the Municipal Assembly Secretary Berislav Fabris waited for the councilors for a full half hour.

"Vijesti" was told by the Democratic People's Party (DNP) that the session will not be held, because the parliamentary clubs of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and the "Budva Our City" coalition did not appear at the parliamentary committees scheduled for today.

"Based on Article 53, paragraph 6, Article 64 of the Rules of Procedure of the Budva Municipal Assembly, I am postponing the 11th session of the Budva Municipal Assembly convened under an urgent procedure to Saturday, November 17, 2026, due to the fact that the conditions prescribed by the rules of procedure for holding it have not been met, more precisely the lack of a quorum at the sessions of the competent permanent working bodies. We will inform you about the date of the 11th session of the Budva Municipal Assembly when the conditions prescribed by law for holding the session are met," Odžić stated in the councilor's letter.

We remind you that the initiative with 474 signatures was submitted on December 23 by the representative of Civic Action, Božidar Vujičić.
