The leader of the Civic Movement (GP) URA and former Prime Minister Dritan Abazović announced that the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) voted for the Budva budget not because of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC), but because of the personal interest of the former President and Prime Minister of Montenegro and former DPS leader Milo Đukanović in Sveti Stefan and 63 apartments in Miločerski Park.

This was announced today by the URA Border Guard.

As stated in the statement, in the author's podcast "Friday with Dritan", answering a citizen's question about why DPS voted for a budget that gives one million euros to the Serbian Orthodox Church, Abazović said that he did not believe the explanations coming from that party.

"DPS voted for the Budva Municipality budget not because of the Serbian Orthodox Church, but because of Sveti Stefan and solely because of Milo Đukanović's personal interest. The motives for voting were solely related to Sveti Stefan and the construction of 63 apartments for sale on the territory of Miločerski Park, which we all fought against before, and now in the meantime we have stood aside so that Đukanović and his business partners can gain financial benefit," Abazović stated.

He also said that with this decision, DPS unmasked itself for everything it had done in the previous period.

Abazović reportedly recalled that an administrative dispute is ongoing regarding the granting of concessions for Montenegro Airports, which challenges the decision of the Government Commission, and that, according to his information, criminal charges are being prepared against the cabinet of Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.

"The first-ranked company for the airport concession is the South Korean company 'Incheon International Airport Corporation' (IIAC), the second-ranked Luxembourg-American company 'Corporación América Airports' (CAAP), while the third-ranked company was TAV - a consortium of France and Turkey," said GP URA.

Abazović said that the consortium dropped out in April and sent a very harsh letter to the Government of Montenegro, stating that the rules were changed during the tender.

"After the second scoring, Corporación América filed a lawsuit with the Administrative Court, claiming that the procedures were not followed. From what I have had the opportunity to see, criminal charges are also being prepared against members of the Government, because the companies were scored twice in different ways," said Abazović.

He explained that, as he stated, "experts" invented the scoring system and that when they saw that they were not satisfied with the scoring because their favorite company, probably the South Korean one, did not have enough points to even pass the qualifications because a minimum of 80 points was required, and they stopped at 79, there was panic that was also reported in the media.

"Then certain people from Spajić's cabinet rushed into the session and started an argument, after which it was interrupted. It continued after a certain time, there was a new scoring and then both companies passed the 80-point threshold, and then they asked for a re-vote, because the international consultant "IFC" gave zero points to the South Korean company in the first vote. After the noise and commotion, they gave more points in the second scoring, and everything was justified by the fact that you cannot rate someone in a category with zero points. All this in order to favor a certain company, probably Incheon from South Korea," Abazović pointed out.

"Since it is an extremely valuable state asset and monopoly such as airports, how is it possible for someone to get zero points for a category? If you don't answer a single question on a math test and submit a blank test, will you get zero or ten points? Is it possible for people like this to lead the country and decide on the future of the citizens of Montenegro?" he added.

Abazović reportedly also recalled the connection between this situation and convicted Korean crypto entrepreneur Do Kwon, stating that he does not believe in conspiracy theories, but that everything needs to be checked in detail.

The URA leader reiterated that he had been offering a different solution for the airports from the beginning, assessing that the offered concession of 100 million euros for both airports was humiliating for Montenegro.

He believes, as added by URA, that the state should invest in Podgorica Airport, while Tivat Airport should be given under concession.

Speaking about international relations, Abazović said that Montenegro should stay away from the US's intention to take over Greenland, and agreed with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's assessment that the international order no longer functions and that the law of the stronger dominates.

"Commenting on the announcement of the protest by road transport companies, Abazović said that he always sides with the citizens, warning that a complete suspension of road transport could block the country in a very short time and that the Government has once again shown its inability to solve numerous problems that arise daily. Finally, he said that Montenegro deserves to get back on the right track, that it needs progress, reconciliation and economic and international progress, and called for joint and dignified action, like in 2020," the GP URA statement concluded.
