The City of Light, the City of Love, the Capital of Fashion and Gastronomy... There is no shortage of nicknames to describe Paris. This city attracts millions of visitors every year and is one of the most visited in the world!

The French capital has such a rich heritage that a few hours are not enough to explore it all. Between monuments, museums, shops, parks and restaurants, the possibilities are endless! Discover Paris from Montenegro by following our three-day, carefully designed itinerary.

Montenegro - Paris: the beginning of the journey

Paris is only a 2-hour and 15-minute flight from Podgorica and Tivat, making it easily accessible by plane. During the high season, starting in April, numerous direct flights connect Paris with Montenegrin airports. Airports in Tirana and Dubrovnik also offer flights to the capital. A round-trip ticket in high season costs around 250 euros. It is recommended to buy your tickets a few months in advance to get the best prices. Upon landing, you have two options for getting to the center of Paris: you can use the metro and RER lines that connect Orly (line 14) and Charles de Gaulle (RER B) airports to the city center (the ticket price is 13 euros); or you can take one of the many Parisian taxis (the fare is 56 euros from Charles de Gaulle airport to the right bank of the Seine).

Day 1 - From the Louvre to the Champs-Élysées: between culture and fashion

To start your stay in Paris, we recommend that you first visit the Louvre Museum. If you arrive early, you will have the opportunity to discover the wonders of this cultural gem: the legendary Mona Lisa, the magnificent Coronation of Napoleon, the gentle Venus de Milo, the impressive painting The Raft of the Medusa and much more. We advise you to buy your ticket in advance online (the price is 22 euros) and to choose a visit time to avoid long waits, or to arrive immediately after opening at 9 am.

After this artistic experience, a gastronomic break is well deserved. However, be careful of the tourist traps in this part of the city! To extend the experience inside the Louvre itself, we recommend booking a table at the "Bistro Benoit". Located under the prestigious glass pyramid by architect Ieoh Ming Pei, in the heart of the museum, this warm, typically Parisian bistro offers high-quality French dishes such as: Steak tartare (23 euros), Sea bass fillet with roasted vegetables (24 euros), the famous French Croque-monsieur (19 euros). The ideal location of this bistro allows you to continue your Parisian adventure by walking through the legendary Tuileries Gardens all the way to the magnificent Place de la Concorde.

After admiring the obelisk, you can continue your walk and reach the famous Avenue des Champs-Élysées. It is home to more than 100 stores, from the most prestigious luxury fashion houses to famous brands such as Massimo Dutti, Zara or Sephora…

At the end of this avenue, don't miss the opportunity to go to the top of the Arc de Triomphe! At dusk, you will experience a stunning view of the Champs-Élysées and the La Defense area and enjoy the sunset... The entrance fee is 16 euros, but it is free for under 18s and must be purchased in advance to avoid crowds. A unique opportunity to round off your day with your family in the most beautiful way.

Day 2 - The perfect day in Versailles: a royal experience

Visit Paris and not admire the Palace of Versailles and its gardens? Unthinkable!

A magnificent royal residence rebuilt by Louis XIV in 1678 to emphasize the power of the Kingdom of France and oversee court life and intrigue, the Palace of Versailles was the first building to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a must-see during any stay in Paris.

Located in Versailles, a suburb of Paris, the château and its gardens are easily accessible. There are various options for getting there from the city center. First, you can take the Paris - Versailles train from the main train stations of Saint-Lazare and Montparnasse (ticket price 2,50 euros). Once you arrive at Versailles train station, it is enough to walk through the charming town (15-20 minutes) to reach the entrance of the château. You can also use the RER C which stops a few steps from the château, or you can take bus number 171 from the Pont-de-Sèvres station, the terminus of metro line 9. Of course, it is also possible to rent a car or take a taxi (around 40 euros).

To enjoy the 800 hectares of gardens and 60.000 m² of the castle, we recommend booking a “Passeport” ticket in advance. For the affordable price of a single ticket of 24 euros in the low season and 32 euros in the high season, it gives you access to all buildings: castle and his famous Mirror galleries, beautiful Trianon Palace, idyllic country estate Queen Marie Antoinette, Royal carriage galleries, The legendary ballroom (Salle de Jeu de paume), and of course, the entire park with its magnificent fountains. You will remain enchanted throughout the day!

If you get hungry during your visit, don’t worry! Picnics are allowed in the gardens of Versailles, so you can enjoy a meal outdoors. There is also the possibility of reserving a table in one of the many restaurants within the park. If you want a unique gastronomic experience with a complete historical experience, we recommend visiting “Ducasse-Versailles”. This gourmet gem, located in the Dufour Pavilion, offers superb menus for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. For an even more authentic experience, book a table for dinner – the restaurant organizes historical dinners inspired by court protocol and royal cuisine! Staff in costumes from this historical era, a menu inspired by recipes from centuries past, royal porcelain of Marie Antoinette – everything is designed to take you back to the time of the splendor of the French court. Don’t miss this magical and exclusive adventure!

Day 3 - Montmartre, Eiffel Tower and Dinner on the Seine – French Romanticism in Full Glory

For an unforgettable end to your trip, we suggest a romantic walk through the heart of Paris.

Start your day with a visit to Montmartre, one of the most charming and romantic parts of the city, located in the 18th arrondissement. Stroll through its narrow, picturesque streets and immerse yourself in its unique spirit. Be sure to stop by Place de la Tertre, a lively place full of cafes, bistros and artists who will be happy to show you their work or even take your portrait as an original souvenir.

To continue this bohemian atmosphere, we suggest lunch at Mansion Montmartre – a legendary spot that Parisians love immensely. This hidden gem, nestled in a green oasis, offers an intimate and romantic atmosphere, and you can enjoy a starter-main course combo for 25 euros.

After lunch, visit Basilica of the Svetog Srca (Sacred Heart), located at the very top of Montmartre. You will be amazed by its magnificent stained glass windows and unique view of Paris from the dome. The ticket price is 8 euros for adults and 5 euros for children, and to avoid crowds, we advise you to book your tickets in advance!

Coming to Paris without seeing the “Iron Lady”? Out of the question! After admiring the panorama of the city from the Montmartre dome, continue your adventure at the Eiffel Tower and experience the magical climb to its top! We recommend choosing a ticket for the Sommet – guided tour, available on the official website: https://www.toureiffel.paris. For 35,30 euros (for adults), you will have the opportunity to climb to the highest level of the Eiffel Tower, admire the spectacular view and discover the fascinating history of this monument.

Depending on your budget, there are a number of evening cruise options available: from gala dinners with concerts, across gastronomic and bistro cruises, all the way to more relaxed tours for a wider audience.
