Yesterday, the students of the Albanian state universities took to the streets for the 12th day in a row, demanding a meeting with the representatives of the government regarding the eight requests they made to it.
ATA states that, unlike the previous days, there were fewer students today, but that residents of the part of Tirana called Astir also joined the protest.
The Albanian agency states that Prime Minister Edi Rama responded positively to the eight demands of the students and repeated the call for dialogue.
As Tanjug recalls, the student protest was launched on December 4 and was directed against re-paying for exams that students had already failed, and the list of demands, including the one to halve tuition fees, was then expanded.
