The Macedonian Assembly, with 95 votes for, no against and no abstentions, passed a new Law on Amnesty, which will allow the release of some of those accused of violence in the parliament on April 27 last year.

MPs from the opposition parties VMRO-DPMNE Ilija Dimovski and Pančo Minov from GROM announced immediately before the vote that they join the proponents of this law.

The leader of the Alliance for Albanians, Zijadin Sela, and the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, Goran Mileski, left the parliament hall when the voting began, reports Tanjug.

VMRO-DPMNE MPs also voted for this law in addition to the representatives of the ruling majority.

As the Minister of Justice Renata Deskoska said, this law will not absolve those who participated in organizing violence in the Assembly last year on April 27 during the election of Taljat Dzaferi as the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber.
