Members of the city's cleanliness today removed from Trga Krajina in Banja Luka a picture of the murdered young man David Dragičević, a wooden statue symbolizing a clenched fist, as well as containers with lit candles that had been there since March 26 of this year.
Several hundred citizens protested this act as well as this morning's arrest of Davor Dragičević, the father of the murdered young man, gathered at Trg Krajina.
Citizens shout "Justice for David" and "Let's go to the end" and call on the police to come over to their side.
There are several hundred policemen on Trg Krajine, including about 100 members of the special police armed with long barrels.
In addition to Davor Dragičević, several other members of the "Justice for David" group were arrested this morning on the charge that they threatened the safety of the highest officials of the RS during the December 17 protests in front of the National Assembly building of the Republika Srpska (RS).
The police took the president of the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) Branislav Borenović and the representative of that opposition party in the RS Assembly, Draško Stanivuković, from Krajina Square in Banja Luka, who demanded that all arrested members of the "Justice for David" group be released.
During their apprehension, the gathered citizens and the police were pushed, and the citizens shouted "Justice, justice" and "Murderers, murderers".
Before he was taken into custody, Borenović called on all competent institutions to release Davor Dragičević, father of the murdered David, and other members of the "Justice for David" group who were arrested this morning.
He also invited all citizens to come to Trg Krajine and, as he said, rebel against the terror that the RS police is carrying out on citizens.
He said that the parents of the murdered David Dragičević have the right to demand truth and justice for their son.
Davor Dragičević, the father of the murdered young man, was arrested this morning, and lawyer Dragan Tolimir previously told BN television that Dragičević's arm was broken during the arrest and that he is in the University Clinical Center of RS.
"Davor's arm is most likely broken," Tolimir said, reports Klix.ba.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS announced in connection with the information that Dragičević was injured, Klix.ba reports.
"At the request of the deprived person, he was given medical assistance at the University Clinical Center of the Republic of Srpska, where the doctors stated that there were no injuries," the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS announced and denied Tolimir.
On several occasions, the gathered citizens tore the yellow police tape that fenced off the place where there was a picture of the murdered David and a wooden sculpture of a raised fist.
The police also took Suzana Radanović, the mother of the murdered young man, from Trg Krajina, and according to the latest information, she is in the family house that the police are searching.
In addition to the two of them, several other members of the "Justice for David" group were arrested who protested in front of the RS National Assembly on December 17 when the new RS government was elected.
The group "Justice for David" protested the re-election of Dragan Lukač as Minister of Police because the parents of the murdered young man claim that members of the RS MUP killed their son.
The Banjaluka Police Department announced that its officers "under the supervision of the Banjaluka District Public Prosecutor's Office, detained a person from the DD in Banjaluka this morning in order to document the criminal offense of endangering security".
A few days ago, the Banja Luka police filed misdemeanor charges against 20 members of the "Justice for David" group who protested in front of the RS Assembly building on December 17, as they had previously announced that the members of the group had gathered in an area where public gatherings cannot be held. .
David Dragičević, a 21-year-old young man from Banja Luka, disappeared on the night of March 18, and his lifeless body was found on March 24 at the confluence of Crkvena and Vrbas near Kastel fortress.
The group "Justice for David" was created on March 26, after a press conference where senior officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS announced that on the fateful night, David had first fought with three people, then robbed a house, and then due to an accident ended up in a river Church.
On the occasion of David's death, the Inquiry Committee of the National Assembly of the RS was formed, which stated that there are indications that the young man was murdered, after which the prosecution launched an investigation into the murder.
The parents of David Dragičević claim that he was kidnapped, tortured, raped and that he was eventually killed by members of the RS MUP.
The media from the RS and Serbia, close to the authorities in Banja Luka, have repeatedly tried to criminalize David Dragičević and compromise the "Justice for David" group, labeling its members as destroyers of the RS, foreign mercenaries and "soroševci".
Since March 26, the "Justice for David" gatherings have been held every evening at Trg Krajine in Banja Luka.
