President of SBB and former Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fahrudin Radončić was transferred from the custody unit of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Sarajevo University Clinical Center (UKCS).
According to the Bosnian media, Radončić, who was admitted to UKCS late this afternoon, will spend the night in the hospital.
Slobodna Bosna states that Radončić was diagnosed with acute heart problems and possible ischemia of the heart muscle.
The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina recently returned Radončić to custody for violating the prohibition measures. The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that the detention of the President of the SBB may last until 2018.
Radončić was arrested on January 25 and was in custody until February 17. The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina imposed prohibition measures on him, which included contacting and meeting with the other defendants in that criminal case, as well as a ban on contacting all representatives of the print and electronic media in connection with the criminal proceedings being conducted against him.
On February 15, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the indictment against Radončić, Bakir Dautbašić, Zijad Hadžijahić and Bilsena Šahman. The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina accused Dautbašić and Šahmanova of trying to influence the witness Azra Sarić to testify falsely at the trial of Nasser Keljmendi in Kosovo.
Radončić, a delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament, was named in the indictment as the organizer of the criminal act, and the others as perpetrators.
Radončić is accused of having, in agreement with Dautbašić, sought from Zijad Hadžijahić, now a former employee of the American Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to find out whether an investigation was opened in connection with the pressure on Sarić and, if so, to try to influence the investigation to be closed.
